A T.v. detective a day 7

Okay...so i had a bit of a brake...i decided if i want to have a comprehensive image pool i want some to be painted so i might have to change my rules of one a day...so this is my next victim...Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher in murder she wrote. This has got to be one of the most dangerous characters to be friends with in the history of fiction. I don't care where she asked me to go on holiday...if she said, 'yo, Shirlez i have a spare ticket to the Bahamas with me, can you come?' I'd be like, 'no way Fletch, a one way ticket more like.' If you are friends with this women you can pretty much guarantee it's your time to DIE! AAAHHH...okay...bit lame but first painting for a while...here she is...

A T.v. detective a day 6

Special Agent Dale Cooper: what a legend! Loved by woman, respected by men. Lover of trees, coffee and pie. I'm back at uni now and i feel like I'm in an episode of twin peaks...everyone wears lumber jack shirts buttoned up to the top and thick rimmed over sized glasses, when i walk through the corridors i imagine Audrey's theme is playing and click my fingers, it makes me happy. This drawing is rubbish but i feel i have to put the bad ones up as well as the good to follow my rules of a picture a day also i feel like i have made him look like a gay nazi sympathizers...always a strange look...so here he is, i wish he was my friend...sigh!

* Luxury Winter Hood // Bunny White faux fur & vintage dusky rose velvet

This hood is made from the most luxurious & soft faux fur. The colours a scrumptious together. Contrasting a Bunny White coloured fur against warm ducky rose pink in a vintage heavy cotton velvet.
The hood features eight buttons, four covered in the vintage cotton velvet and four faux antique brass shanked buttons. I made a prototype with original brass buttons but it made the hood too heavy.

This gorgeous winter accessory can be worn in eight different ways, it is completely reversible and the four button holes and eight buttons allow for different styles to be created. It can also be a really cozy scarf, just tucked into the neck of a jacket and left to fall at the back.

The hood is really warm and you feel completely glamorous in your winter wonderland.

Yellow, Pink & Blue Feather Hair clip

This hairclip has one dyed pheasant feather approx 10'' long combat green and a bunch of different sized Yellow, Pink & Blue rooster feathers. This features an autumnal hand made flower as the center piece topped off with an opulent gold metallic hand covered button. The flowers are made from many layers of chiffon, shot organza and burlesque tulle.

All secured to a 2'' long alligator clip. I find these more secure and manageable than a traditional comb. There also enable a number of different styles, the can be quickly slipped into the back of a hair do, it can clip either side of the head into a fringe or bangs depending on what side of the pond you are from. I sometimes clip it upside down over my fringe to look like a fascinator band. Basically they're great!

(please remember dyed feathers are not colorfast)

A T.v. detective a day 5

Elementary Watson! Jeremy Brett as screens adaptation of Scottish crime fiction writer and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyles 'Sherlock Holmes'. Brett in my opinion wipes all Holmes performances off the board, he is captivating, terrifying and comforting in one fell swoop. Also, twas listening to Dessert Island disks with  Martin Cloones and they were related and he was chatting about how supportive he was and dedicated, i think this comes through on the screen, i love hard working people..YES! Every time i watch him i wonder why he never played Nosferatu he would have smacked it! Anyways, hope you have and elementary Saturday, I'm really excited about tomorrows entry already!

A T.v. detective a day 4

I think the murderers mistake with MISs MaRple, is to always presume her a fool (this could be said i suppose for some of the other greats, dick van dyke, Columbo etc etc)  well don't do that 'cos she knows everything...There have been a few MIss Marples over the years, including Hyacinthe Boucket, but i think Joan Hickson will always be my fav, it's the eyes...uowah...she creeps me out...

A T.v. detective a day

I am trying to make an image bank starting with portraits and moving on to scenes and objects etc, my first attempt is a week of t.v. detectives, so here i kick start with a touch of frost starring our beloved del boy aka David Jason....

Surprise Project...

So, here is the first project for my MA, sort of...first presentation anyway. The theme was 'surprise'. I went through many options of what could be an effective project, Many of them involving delusions of grandeur, puppetry, props, great performances. So i took a step back and decided to make it simple for a change. I'm not sure however if this worked, as there was a definite silence after my project and not much discussion, lets have a look,
